One of my favorite tools I learned from the Labsim PowerPoint section was 6.4.1 Themes and Templates. I can easily get lost in the number of designs, themes, and variants to choose from. I appreciate how PowerPoint can turn a plain draft slideshow into a professional-looking presentation within just a few clicks. At the end of this post is a collage from my slideshow presentation this semester.
This class also reminded me how impactful a positive learning environment can be. I’m thankful for Professor Wu’s support, feedback, and for giving us the opportunity to leave a digital footprint. His dedication to our class really made a difference in my experience taking this course. To my classmates, thank you for sharing your creativity, encouragement, and humor along the way. Seeing everyone grow and support one another made this class more enjoyable and inspiring.
As I wrap up this final post, I feel proud of how far I’ve come. I’m leaving this class with more than just improved digital literacy skills. I’m walking away with confidence, better work habits, and a reminder that I’m capable of more than I sometimes give myself credit for. I wish everyone in our class success in reaching their goals in life. Who knows, we might cross paths randomly at a coffee shop in the future.
“Life is like a cup of coffee—it’s all about how you make it, enjoy it, and who you share it with.”

Hey Chandler, congrats on earning your MOS Associate and going for the expert level. This class was definitely hard for me because of all the assignments but like you said it was rewarding and we have our certificates to show for it.
ReplyDeleteHey Chandler, I enjoyed your presentation about Japan. I find the Japanese culture fascinating, as well as the Japanese Car Culture. Your presentation made me want to plan a trip to Japan, myself.
ReplyDeleteHey Chandler, congratulations on earning your MOS Associate! You pointed out something very important about this class, it really helped us improve our ability to follow instructions. That definitely made a huge difference in how I approach tasks now. Best wishes to you and your future! Enjoy your trip to Japan, and yeah who knows, maybe one day we’ll cross paths at a coffee shop. Good luck to you! ^-^
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you! This class helped me a lot when it came to paying close attention to what the material is asking, because that is a flaw I have. Also, congratulations on receiving your MOS Associates. You deserve it!
ReplyDeleteI can say with confidence that I did enjoy the class environment as well, even though I did not interact with all of our classmates, the few that I did, it was nothing but positive interactions.
Since we are both doing CIT, we might cross paths again soon, and if not, maybe in Japan, because trust me, when I get the money, I will be going. Sadly, I am a big fan of Gundam, and one of the main reasons I wanted to go was to see that big statue they had in Yokohama Gundam Factory of the iconic RX-78F00.
I wish you the best of luck, and I know you will succeed in getting everything you deserve. If you keep pushing the way you are now, I know you’ll get that 1-to-2-week vacation you are entitled to, and explore Japan and many more areas.
Hi Chandler!! Way to go on your accolades and becoming a Microsoft Associate! Not an easy feat, but I know you are probably feeling victorious about it. This class also helped me pay attention to the little things, something I still have to work on, admittedly. Also, thank you for your coffee shop recs, I look forward to trying them this summer! I hope you get to go to Japan and enjoy all the activities you hope to see!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I really enjoyed reading your reflection it was thoughtful and well said, just like that cup of coffee you mentioned. Sitting next to you in class made the experience even better. We had some good conversations, Wishing you all the best in what’s next, and who knows, maybe we will run into each other at a coffee shop someday! you are a great guy looking forward for you Japan trip posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Chandler Donovan! I can't agree with you more; this class has been very rewarding and has left me with great confident in the skills I learned in Microsoft, but also the other skills outside of computer/digital literacy. The positive learning environment made a great impact and pushed me to want to go above and beyond! I wish you all the luck in your future!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I agree so much! Wishing you all the luck and hope you enjoy that coffee workload free now!
ReplyDeleteHi, even though am not much of a coffee fan, I prefer hot chocolate it is the same idea! Glad you crushed it and those bonus quizzes! Wish you the best of luck!
ReplyDeleteHey Chandler,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your final blog post! It's impressive how you've embraced the lessons from IS101, not just in mastering the technical skills but also in developing a proactive and detail-oriented approach to your work. Your appreciation for PowerPoint's Themes and Templates (6.4.1) resonates with me. It's amazing how a few clicks can transform a presentation into something polished and professional.
Your reflections on the positive learning environment and the support from Professor Wu and our classmates highlight the collaborative spirit of our class. It's been a pleasure learning alongside you, and I wish you all the best! ^-^
